Margetis Maritime Consulting was founded in 2006 in Piraeus with the aim of providing specialised services

focused on Marine Technical Insurance matters.

In 2011, Margetis Maritime Consulting expanded its business with the establishment of the Istanbul Office,

aiming to better serve its clients and also address the evolving Shipping community of Turkey.

With this expansion, Margetis Maritime Consulting is evolving in a leading Service Provider to Maritime

Institutions, such as Hull & Machinery Underwriters and P&I Clubs, whilst also provides services upon

instructions by Marine Insurance Brokers and Solicitors and Ship-owners, on a worldwide basis.

Presently, Margetis Maritime Consulting is a firm with multiple surveyors of diverse background and expertise,

well recognised and approved by the most reputable Hull & Machinery Underwriters and P&I Clubs worldwide,

with clients mostly within the London Insurance market (Lloyd’s Syndicates, and non-Lloyd’s Companies),

the French Insurance market, as well as Greek Marine Insurers.

Our office in Piraeus, is located in the heart of the Maritime district, whilst our Office in Istanbul is located

at Göztepe, in the Asian side of the city, in close proximity to Bosporus, the Istanbul port and the Shipyard

area of Tuzla. More than ever, our services are provided worldwide, willing to travel at the instructions of our

Principals, to all corners of the globe. In this respect, we at Margetis Maritime Consulting, would like to be

perceived as a global company, with capability of receiving instructions for assignments in every port of the

world, committed in providing emergency response action and services on a 24-hour basis, 365 days a year.

In addition, we always look towards additional expansion in the future.

Our firm is in possession of Professional Liability coverage (“Errors & Omissions”) by Lloyd’s London. Since

2008, we are in Cooperation and Association with Noble Denton Consultants, undertaking projects of Marine

Casualty Investigation on their behalf. Margetis Maritime Consulting guarantees the quality and integrity of

the service, all our surveyors provide.
